i(myself) recently changed my oil a few days ago on my 07 Nissan pathfinder LE. i used a fram oil filter ,fram cabin filter, and mobil 1 synthetic oil. i just turned on the cars heat and its started to smell like burnt oil. the only time it smells is when i let fresh air into the cabin, and the heat is running. when i close the fresh air it doesn’t smell. any thoughts???? You must have spilled some when removing the filter.

For sanity's sake, go make sure the oil filter and drain bolt are not leaking.

Otherwise, you can either wipe/wash down the area where you spilt, or just wait for it to burn off.

I've used the 'engine wash' option at car washes with success before, but be careful what you spray, anything with an electrical connector may not like pressurized water.

Otherwise, just a rag.
