P0192 fault code help please

Postby estateslave » Sun Jun 16, 2013 2:59 am

Sorry if I am reasking but tried a search and couldn't find a similar thing..

Hi folks I have an 09 2.5 dci pathy which was running great until one morning I started her and it had a erratic idle/ hunting idle and when I went to drive off absolutely no power at all.

I tried fuel filter which helped the hunting but it is not completely gone.

A mate put it on his code reader and it said p0192 fuel rail pressure sensor circuit low.

Has anyone any ideas as I am desperate to get her back on the road.

Many thanks in advance Ian.

Most people on this forum don't have the 2.5 dCi (though most of us wish we did!)

Sorry we can't be of more help!

Probably just need some new spark plugs. :D All joking aside, a low fuel pressure code would lead me to check the following:

faulty fuel pressure sensor (not likely the issue since you have idling issues and not just a check engine code)
fuel filter damaged or clogged (you've already eliminated this)
bad fuel pump
faulty fuel pressure regulator
