Fan Question

Day 2 of my Pathfinder. I noticed the engine fan spins as soon as I start it up. I'm guessing it needs replaced? The consensus is to use the oem dealer fan from Nissan as others haven't worked as well?

It should spin right away, but slow down a bit while it's still cool. I replaced mine and saw improvement in mpg but the two fan clutches felt identical turning by hand, side by side.

If you do replace it yes, most people have said stick with OEM. I picked up mine from Courtesy Nissan.

If you grab each end in a hand and twist back & forth really quickly you'll feel the good one free up a little inside. A bad one will stay stiff.
