Slushy Shifts when Warm

Postby alien_bug » Mon Oct 14, 2013 8:09 am

Any ideas? Ever had this happen?

2005. Shifts great when engine/tranny isn't warmed up, but as soon as things operating temps the shifts hesitate and then slide into the next gear.

It seems in the past on other vehicles I've owned when I was low on fluid the slushy shifts would be when the tranny was cool and got better as it warmed up. So, this seems to be the opposite. .... ?

Fluid looks brand new and is hard to check, they really don't give you much space between the lines.

Thanks,
Sean

What are you doing to check the fluid? There is a dipstick on the passenger side of the engine, you need to undo the 10mm bolt attached to it.

To check the fluid I look at it between the marks when it's warm, the engine is running and the vehicle is level.

Thanks,
Sean
