Vibrating noise at 1100 RPM between 30 and 40mph

Postby Bandy1080 » Wed Oct 23, 2013 6:17 am

Taking a shot in the dark on this one.

The wife's 2008 Pathfinder LE has developed a very annoying noise.

Cruising on the backroads going 30 or 40 mph when you feather the gas there is a vibrating/fan clicking noise in the engine compartment on the drivers side of the car. If I accelerate it goes away but if I slow down again and slowly accelerate from 1k rpm it starts up again. It doesn't affect the driving at all and I can't feel the vibration, its just a noise.

My dealer is in the city so it is literally impossible for me to "cruise" at 30 or 40mph and have the mechanic hear it.

Just looking for any advice.

Thanks

AKA the front drive shaft?

If it was that, why would it only make noise/vibrate at low rpms and low speeds?
