Ordered a set this weekend! Very curious to see what it does for mileage and power with stock wheels driving up and down hills in California :-D

I finally bit the bullet and bought today...I've only been considering this for about three years. Since I am at 92K miles new sparkplugs will be on order too as long as we are into it.

Gotta tell ya folks, I travel a butload (buttload?) and am in and out of many new rental vehicles. This old Pathfinder is awesome and I am never disappointed when I get back and drive home in it.

Installed mine tonight along with new spark plugs. Didn't have an E6 torx socket to remove the two studs so instead I used the two 10mm nuts backed against each other as jam nuts so I could wrench them out.

Expecting good things tomorrow! :-D

Working great so far! The truck downshifts less on uphills, runs smoother at idle or on the highway, and has a little more power all around. Looking forward to my next road trip to check out the mileage question :-D

Glad to gear it. Amazing how a little chunk of aluminum can make such a big difference

Any word on mileage differences? I'm just prolonging the inevitable and trying to get as much info as possible before buying. Torn between getting the truck leveled out up front or purchasing an IMS. Hmmmm decisions decisions

I haven't noticed any significant mileage impact. I wouldn't let that make or break your decision.

Just installed mine while doing the timing chains. Hoping to see/feel a little benefit while towing.

Sorry, man... didn't take too many pix. Was too busy swearing.

Was not a fun job, but that's because I made a lot of mistakes along the way that cost me a lot of time... I didn't do enough research beforehand and what research I did I didn't really pay much mind or listen to (mainly because I had a friend who said he'd help me out, but ended up being super busy for a couple of months... something about him getting married or something insignificant like that... )

I posted a thread here with a few lessons learned. Check it & feel free to ask questions. Maybe I'll do a little instructional.

If you download the TSB, it gives instructions and has pictures of the job. You can get a .pdf download of the TSB in the knowledge base at www.NissanHelp.com
