Pathfinder LE 2005 FULLY LOADED, WANT AFTERMARKET DOUBLE DIN

Postby aljnunez » Wed Feb 19, 2014 7:43 pm

Hello all,i have a 2005 pathfinder LE fully loaded with the navigation,Bose CD player, DVD in center console, and flip down display in the back. I was wondering if i get a radio control panel from an 05 base model that just has the digital screen for the HVAC system and no NAV, would i be able to simply swap it out or will i have issues?. I do understand that i would be losing some functionality , and im ok with that. What i want is something with more options like the Parrot Asteroid smart http://www.parrot.com/usa/products/aste ... roid-smart

If this is just not possible, what options do i have, any input would be greatly appreciated/

you will have issues. i believe harness for both vehicles are different. so plug and play is out of the question. you will have to get something custom. visit your local stereo shop and see what they say about different options.

You'd have issues with the stereo, as well, as the Bose system uses 1-ohm impedance speakers and amps.

As most factory (non-Bose) and aftermarket systems use 4-ohm impedance speakers, you'll need use a converter to use them with the 1-ohm speakers and amps. You can get them from PAC audio and Cruthfield. You'll also need an adapter if you want to retain the use of the steering wheel audio controls.
