Popping/clicking sound from glovebox when turning on AC Heat

Postby BlazerScott » Sat Apr 19, 2014 11:35 am

Whenever the AC is first turned on I hear a pop pop pop pop coming from under the glovebox area. This clicking will continue for only a short time and then stops and everything seems to work fine.
I have never changed the internal air filter. Think that could be the issue?

Mine ticks, a bit too but seems inconsistent about it. I think maybe it's only on recirc but is not noisy enough to be heard unless I'm on my own in the car and idling with the radio off. I can't say I've worried about it much, but changing the cabin filter made no difference that I could tell.

I had this in my pathy (2010) it was a few acorns that had got past the cabin filter. they were bouncing around in the blower fan.

the fan motor is right behind the lower glove box and only had 3 screws holding it in, very easy to check and rule it out.
