2012 Bose Radio - Audio Off on restart

Postby SteveFinn » Mon Feb 09, 2015 7:16 am

This just starting happening last week...wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

every time I start the car the stereo is off. Doesn't seem to matter if I am listening to a CD, radio or XM.

It's not a big deal, but I would prefer the audio be on, switched to whatever source I was listening to....

Probably coincidence, but it happened at about the same time my free XM trial ran out.

thanks

My 2010 SE has similar issues. No matter how many times I reset the clock, radio channels, audio options, etc., my Bose non-navi loses all settings on restart and defaults to a random time, The radio and audio settings also revert to other preferences. The dealer service tech is baffled but working on finding a solution right now.

I had the same issue, clock and settings would not save on my 2012 w/Bose. Dealer replaced unit under warranty.

It may be the extended storage switch. Search the forum as their is another thread that may lend some insight. It is located in the fuse box on the passenger side (inside glove box).
