License plate bulbs

I have a 2008 Pathfinder and i noticed that the two bulbs that light up the license plate don’t work unless I slightly hit the chrome piece right under the Nissan logo. What could be causing this issue? Is there an easy fix?

Probably a bad contact between the bulbs and the sockets, or a poor connection. You can try installing new bulbs; they aren't expensive (#194 bulbs) and they are easier to change on the 08 model compared to the earlier years. If that doesn't work, you'll probably have to pull of the interior panel and have a look.

i had the same issue with my left license plate bulb.. it would constantly go out and i would have to give the chrome piece a knock just to make it come back on....

replaced the bulbs with led bulbs and cleaned the contacts with a qtip - no more issues.
