Front windshield washer not firing, back works fine

Postby Malt » Tue Jan 26, 2016 2:00 pm

So, new to me 2011, rear wiper pump works fine, front pump is silent. No noise when I attempt to activate. From what I'm reading it looks like there's one pump with two outputs? (new setup to me! Used to two pumps..)

I checked the 10A fuse in the dash labeled washer, and the 30amp fuse under the hood labeled Fr Wiper, both are fine.

So, what could be the cause? Are there actually two pumps? Thanks.

Problem solved! Turns out it was a loose connection. Not sure why the rears worked and the front didn't, but unplugging everything and plugging it back in seemed to fix it. For anyone else that needs to work on the wiper fluid tank or pumps...

You do need to remove the front fender protector.

Was a bit of a pain, would be very easy to do if you put the car on jackstands to get the wheel out of the way first.
