2010 Pathfinder LE - rear air

Postby mkhaze » Mon Apr 18, 2016 12:30 pm

Rear air blows on high continually. Tried disconnecting the battery for about 15 minutes to reset but that didn't help.

front air toggle has to be set to auto to have rear air controls or set to what you want in the front.

If it runs at full blast no matter what you do, you likely have a bad, rear, fan blower amp, aka "VBC." I had to replace mine on my '08 SE, which was doing the same. You need to remove the right, rear, interior panel to access the rear heating and cooling unit. It's a tight squeeze, but you can replace it without removing the heating/cooling unit. The new one will look a little different than the old one, as far as the heat sink. The part number is 27151-ZT00A and runs about $40. On vehicles with auto climate control, the front and rear units use the same part.
