2012 7-Pin Hitch Project

I am getting ready to convert my 4 pin connector to the 7 pin and add the brake controller. I did the 4 pin to 7 pin conversion on my old 2005 and it was a breeze. Before I sold it I pulled the brake controller and the relay module (25230-79964 6 pole relay) from under the hood so I have those parts already, I have the harness (999T8-XR024) inbound as well. I have not been able to locate any instructions specific to the 2012 model and wanted to confirm that the process is still the same plug and play as on the 05. In other words, do I still need the 6 pole relay? Are there any non-obvious pitfalls to avoid in the process?
