My pathfinder shut off and won't start

My pathfinder shut off driving down the road and wouldn't turn back on. It turned back on when we unplugged the battery for a few minutes then it did it again when I went down the road. My husband checked everything and can't find out why. No check engine light or anything was on and it was running great before this happened

There have been a lot of problems with the battery cable ends making a poor connection because the cannot get tight enough. Try turning the cable ends by hand and see if either one turns. If so, you may need to replace the end. I would also check the battery and charging system.
