Optima Yellow Top Mods to Install?

Postby mikedkap » Tue Aug 21, 2018 4:49 pm

I'm sure this has been talked about, but the search on here wasn't much help... :D

Anyone running a Yellow Top? Optima says it requires some mods to install. Would love to know ahead of time if anyone has already gone through it.

Thanks!

The answer is no mods. The D35 battery is just shorter, but comes with a 'booster' kit to put below it. I've been running it for a week now with my new Dometic fridge/freezer and it is kicking ass. I've never felt so confident in a battery before!

nice! I used a red top for a while, but it didn't last long. Got about 2 years out of it.
