Enable navigation while moving?

Postby Ross Carlson » Mon Apr 09, 2012 1:51 pm

Just picked up a loaded V8 2008 Pathfinder LE this weekend (love it so far). I HATE that the Nav won't work if the car is moving (even with a passenger) - on a Subie I used to have you just clipped one wire to trick it into thinking the parking brake is set - any way to do that on a R51 Pathfinder?

Thanks!

Ross,

Yes there is a way. It's the same process as you have to trick it to think you are in park basically grounding out the switch. I'll see if I can find the thread that shows how. It might be in the general R51 thread and not in the electrical section.

Thanks for the link, always nice to find a helping hand when you're new to a forum. I'll check the general forum for other posts...

I plan on it. I have several projects lined up so far, they are:

- 7 pin trailer connector and trailer brake controller
- WeatherTech floor/cargo mats
- 110v inverter (not sure where just yet but want OEM look)
- Add at least 4 1amp USB chargers (iPads, iPhones, etc)
- 25" ceiling mounted LCD facing out the back (tailgate camping)
- rear facing speakers
- custom battery charger (so i can plug into a RV power pole)
- Black out all exterior chrome (she's already black)
- Black front grill
- Powdercoat wheels black
- light tint head/tails (full murdered look)
- Nav hack to allow input while in motion

So just a few things ;-)
