Cruise Control

Postby bburnette252 » Tue Sep 17, 2013 4:27 pm

This may have already been addressed but I am a newbie...

Has anyone else cruise control quit working? I am driving a 2007 Pathfinder, and my cruise control works maybe 2% of the time, the rest of the time when I turn it on it just flashes at me!!

Anybody know how to fix this? I love cruise control, me and my ankle would love anyone that could help

More info. What speeds? Any kind of incline involved?

It doesn't matter if its low speed, High speed, steep inclines, it will work maybe 2 out 100 times (and that's just randomly). I can't figure out why it would work every once in awhile instead of just completely going out.

When the cruise control flashes it's usually telling you it has deactivated itself because of a problem. Is your CEL light on as well?

Cruise is a tricky one because CC usually gets input from several sensors including the brake pedal, gear lever, speed sensor, etc.

Have you checked for fault codes?
