2006 aux power issue center console

Postby romeroae » Fri Sep 27, 2013 3:59 pm

Ok. was using an inverter in the center console on a 2006 path.
It blew.
Checked the fuses, all ok.
The upper dash port powers just fine
The lower dash port powers as it should (w key).
The center console power port does not power, multiple devices tried.

Any ideas? I cannot check the cargo ports as they are covered with a LARGE cargo container which is bolted in place. I figured the lower dash port would be on the same circut as the center console port (key switched) but apparently I was WRONG!.

Is there a known issue with the center console port? Am i looking at pulling the center console to chase it down....

Not sure where the fuse is for that, although one would think it would be with the rest. If none of them are blown, you may want to take apart the console and make sure the wiring is still intact to the outlet & the outlet itself isn't melted. I can't remember what device I had attached to the console power outlet when I first got the Pathfinder, but I do know that device shut itself down from overheating. With the lid closed, that console gets really, really hot.
