Fixed flashing airbag by myself but it's back..

Postby cabinpath » Fri Nov 29, 2013 2:43 pm

Hey,

I just did three recalls on my Nissan and the next day the air bag light started flashing. I read online that you can reset the computer of its not serious and fix it. I followed the guide and it worked perfect (key on key off and so in). But it just started flashing again...

Should I take it to the dealer or run the code first? I hate to spend big bucks at the dealer.

If the problem is something that is covered by the recall, it should be fixed at no cost to you. However, a dealer would next to do the diagnosis to confirm that. Without knowing what the stored code is, it makes it hard to give you advice on what to do.

I'll check the code and post it early next week.

I followed this guide Btw -

I just had my car at the dealership last week to do three recalls and this airbag light came on the next day... I am really annoyed that I may be facing a $200 'computer reset' at the dealership... Any thoughts on how I should approach this?

Sitting at the dealership right now. They said I have codes B1049 & B1054. They say I need to replace spiral cable.. They say part is $467!!!!!

I'm taking it to my shop to get a price from them but I did find thishttp://www.clubfrontier.org/forums/f23/walkthr ... ing-87052/

Will that guide work for my 2008 SE 4.0 pathy?
