passenger wiper arm loose

Postby CPLTECH » Sat Feb 15, 2014 6:38 pm

The passenger wiper arm has developed some play as it returns to the resting position. Noisy operation as it hits the stop area. You can take the arm and move it several degrees. Don’t know if it was kept from moving due to ice when turned on. Any idea what got stripped? Arm or wiper motor?

You will need to remove it to check, but I would think it would be the wiper arm that has been stripped. I know on my old 89 Nissan D21, the wiper arm was set up to strip prior to the mounting stud.
