I was having the same issue. Every bump I'd hear a squeak. After looking at the interior, I thought to check underneath. I was on the ground with a small rubber mallet hitting stuff to get it to squeak. As I was getting up I put my arm on the hood and I heard it. The hood latch is doing it. I am going throw some tape on it and hopefully it'll go away for a while.

Did the squeak from the hood latch sound like it was coming from inside when you were driving? The squeak I have sounds like its coming right from the gear shifter or below it.

I had the hood-latch squeak and mine didn't sound like it was coming from inside the car. It sounded like a suspension issue, although it was similarly random and somewhat varied based on outside temps. So while I doubt it's this.....it takes a minute to wrap some electrical tape around the hood latch and see what happens.

I fixed the issue on my 06 Pathy last year. The other day I was working on a 2007 Maxima and it had the same squeak...and the electrical tape fix worked on that, as well!
