Winch mount into stock bumper?

Postby Willapps » Mon Mar 03, 2014 1:28 pm

So.. Considering options on mounting a winch to the stock bumper, but having searched around I cannot find any information on fitting kits, how it would mount, if you can even fit one in there. It appears the winch might mount within the area behind the lower air slot on the factory bumper, but I'm not too sure about how much space you need for a winch.. I have seen a navara with a winch there though...
Mine is a r51 2.5d.

Any info/pics welcomed.

TIA, Will.

I think ARB makes hidden winch mounts.

Yeah these bumpers look nearly OEM, shouldn't be too tough.

Overseas stuff though, if you're in the States.

PWS in the UK make the front trays for mounting winches, we have had several fitted at work on Ford Rangers mounted in the front bumper, the lower section has to be cut out. the guys did a neat job and they work well.

Pics on the link below.
