setting power seats

Hi guys, new to the forum and fairly new to pathfinder ownership.

I recently bought a 2007 petrol pathfinder, top of the line 4x4, leather etc, in NZ its the Ti model. anyway, it has leather, electric seats etc but I cant get the seat memory working. Have the standard "set, 1, 2" buttons, 1 and 2 have a small LED light on them. I tried the setting procedure in the manual, doesnt work, no action from the LED lights on the buttons and no sign of storing memory. From what i have read on here, it also doesnt move back when ignition is turned of. can someone give me some help with this, what should i go looking for, is there a wire loose somewhere? is there a control module failure?
