Rear heat was not hot

Postby AZ_Path » Mon Jan 05, 2015 2:50 pm

Just thought I would post some info that might be useful if anyone else has the same problem.

My rear heat stopped blowing hot air last week. The front worked as normal. The rear would blow air, but it was cool. I checked the radiator and it was full. I checked the reservoir and it was maybe around 1/4 full. It's a little hard to tell how full the thing is. I did not see any level indicators. I filled it most of the way up and the rear heat is now warm again. :D

Yes it is hard to see the 'max cold/max hot' marks on the bottle, but they are there.

the levels on the coolant recovery bottle can be read if the small electrical box between the power steering reservoir and the recovery tank is raised up out of its' mount
no tools needed, just depress the lock tab on the box & lift it up
min/max lines are molded into the side of the recovery bottle

Thanks guys. I'll look for them to make sure I didn't over fill it.
