Sunroof Wind Deflector Rubber Seal Coming Loose...Help?

Postby bbermann » Thu Jan 15, 2015 8:25 am

Recently when going through the car wash the rubber seal at the bottom of the Plexiglas sunroof wind deflector has been coming loose.

One side comes out and with the car wash hot air blow dry and flaps around and then I need to reseat it along the leading edge of the deflector where it meets the roof.

Any ideas about how to fix this? I'm not wanting to simply remove it.

Thanks

Goop it. There's a glue called "Goop" that's perfect for this. It'll be a flexible, waterproof, permanent bond. You can buy it at Lowe's Home Depot, Wal Mart, Target... almost anywhere.

Take the deflector off, Goop it, clamp it for a day and put the deflector back on. It takes a full day to cure and then the seal won't come off the deflector again.

Yes, familiar with Goop and thanks for the suggestion. It's funny I wasn't planning on taking it off to fix but that will definitely make things easier!
