The Nissan Path

Anyone know what changed in 2008 that won't allow a bug shield from that year to fit an 06? The hood crease looks the same and I can't imagine anything under the lip of the hood changed... Courtesy says it won't fit.

The hood, grille and headlights were changed and are different part #'s from the 05-07 to the 08 and newer.
