Black Halo Headlights for 2011

Postby devo235 » Thu Nov 10, 2011 1:07 pm

Hey guys, has anyone bought these headlights for their '11?

http://www.carid.com/2011-nissan-pathfi ... 18030.html

They seem ridiculously over-priced, but also seem like the only option over Stock, for a 2011 Path.

I am considering purchasing, but was wondeing if anyone else has them already. Fittment issues?, Pics? Worth the price?

Any info or opinions would be well appreciated.[/b]

I would call and verify with them. I know in 2008, they adjusted the front end of the pathfinder so the 05-07 headlights don't fit the 08-2011 pathfinders. However alot of companies say their headligts do, when in fact they do not. However, that is crazy on how much they want. Over 600 for a set of headlamps, I'll pass even though I'm still looking for a set of projectors for my 08.

Yeah, I talked to two different service people there, on two seperate occasions, to confrm fitment, and both guarenteed perfect fitment for strictly the 2011. Seems these were made only for the 2011 and won't fit any other year.

As for the price, yes, very expensive. Considering they still have the amber sides on them, I consider these just insanely priced. For that price I personally would like to see zero amber colour in the headlights (personal pref.) plus a full HID kit included, and of course all remaining neccessary bulbs.

As for other headlights from different companies for '06s, '07s, etc... I did notice many of them have changed the year to be more specific for the fittment. I guess they recieved too many returned orders from unhappy customers, complaing that their new headlights dont fit correctly. At least a couple of these companies are being more open and honest.

Well, what to do now....thats a big chunk of cash for headlights that I don't really love 100%. They still are pretty nice though.

So... are these lights really the only option for an '11 Path?

Has anyone managed to fit any other year's headlights on to a 2011 Pathfinder?

I would like to buy these lights, but am hoping fo an all-clear (no amber) version in the near future. Guess I'm SOL right now/

Your 290 quote, is that just for HIDs in your stock headlamps or is that modifying your stock headlamps with a projector lens and HIDs?

You can do an HID swap for alot cheaper than 290. Hit up ddmtuning.com and you can get a set of 9007 dual for less than 100. You would just do the install, and it's very easy. I think most of us with the 08-11 are looking for projector lenses for HIDs.
