Flat black paint job

The search feature sucks!

Anybody paint their PF in flat black? I'm thinking it would look pretty sweet!

make sure you use the search next to the faq button, not the "google custom search". i've found the latter to not work so well

i was actually thinking about eventually trying to do the flat/pearlescant white that they have on the "new" cameros. saw it in person at a car show and thought it was sweet.

something like this:

I'm strongly leaning towards a wrap and they definitely come in flat black.

I read an article recently about the flat blacks that the manufacturers are putting out on some luxo cars (and maybe hyundai or kia has a model). Apparently it's a lot of work and you have to sign waivers because if you don't wash it a very specific way the matte paint can get glossy and then just look like royal @#$@#. Someone in the town I work has an Escalade painted flat army green. Kinda bad ass.

 at the fact washing it wrong makes it glossy... and washing a glossy car wrong makes it mat.. Does an average wash turn everything Satin

Why don't you just plasti dip the whole unit. Here is a link to where you can buy the whole kit. 400-500 clams to change the color of the path and it will last up to 5 years. www.dipyourcar.com/ . Here is a video link showing a whole car being dipped

Also you can power wash the unit just like you normally would. Plus if you want to trade in or change the color just peel it off.

What would a wrap cost? The place in Tualatin is gone.
