Rear vent airflow low

Postby impulsepath » Wed Jan 23, 2013 1:00 pm

How much airflow should I expect form the rear vents (second row, back of console)? Dealer said that is how it is supposed to be.
Any mods to improve on it?
I find the airflow very low to the point wfere I find this feature useless.
Flow can be increased some by choosing different settings with a selector knob in the front, making sure the rear vents blow straight, closing off some of the front vents etc...
Thoughts, ideas?

Not a lot...or a lot you could do. Mine does enough to help cool or heat the entire truck though, or keep rear passengers comfortable when I have them. It just won't deliver that nice giant blast of cold A/C when just getting into the truck on a hot day.

If its a requirement, maybe you could look at modifying the rear fan. It takes some time to get to (remove rear seats then interior trim) but there's enough space in there to do something.
