If I would have known taking the pin stripes off was such a tedious task, I woulda said the hell with it haha. Nothing like a nice Florida summer day and working on a car...

i'm about to do that to mine too....

so just peel the stripe off and then what, rub like crazy to get the 'goo' off? did you use any acetone or anything?

Just peel and rub. I used some goo gone which seemed to help. Lots if Elbow grease.

cool deal, thanks for the info. i have some adhesive remover as well ('goof off' i think?) that i use for tree sap and stuff.

I just did this myself about 6 months ago to a double pin stripe, removed the sticky residue with a good wax. just took a little extra rubbing, came right off.

Thanks for the positive feedback, of course after 3 hours of detailing I got a Florida thunderstorm that would have wiped out a 3rd world country. Always happens

Thanks, they are just stock dipped black! Can't believe how great that stuff came out, not bad for some tool grip lol. I found rubbing some tire shine on the plasti dip gives it a nice gloss, artlessly temporary.
