Hey, I just bought a 2006 Pathfinder and I'm looking to get a bug deflector or it and just wanted to see pics of some on your vehicles to see which one I like

I would get the deflector from Nissan. It's a bit of a pain to install, but it's securely held onto the hood and looks good.

here is mine... got it from autoanything and it fits perfectly and has very clean look. The install was really easy as well since it used the factory holes under the hood. The brand is Stampede.

Just wondering if the bugshield will just let the bugs throw over the windshield. Any experience?

Looks good, all. Thanks for sharing.

I'm looking for the brand the consensus is the most pleased with for a 2011 LE. I thought I saw somewhere Weathertech made bug deflectors for Pathfinders but according to the website it looks like they only carry the sunroof deflector, not one for the hood. Perhaps they simply only carry them for the pre-model refresh R51s and not the post-refresh.

http://www.weathertech.com/nissan/2011/pathfinder/

My requirement is black or the closest thing (some call it "smoke") in color and no drilling or custom fitting required. I do not want to get into drilling on the metal and creating rust issues particularly in the front of the vehicle which is sprayed with rock salt and water regularly when driving.

Anyone have a post-refresh R51 with a bug deflector that meets the requirements above that they are satisfied with and can provide a recommendation?

Thanks in advance.

As with my old (2006) xterra, I find that I like the look of the Nissan window and hood deflectors better than the aftermarket ones, but that's just my opinion. As for weathertech's - I haven't seen one on a pathfinder in person so I can't really help you there.

Thank you. Looks great. Nice low profile.

Is it effective at deflecting rocks and bugs?

I just added the Stampede bug deflector, about $40 on Amazon. It went on easy enough (8 screws, no drilling) and seems very solid. But I'm not sure I like how much it flairs up. Will wait for a rainy day to see how it deflects, but may sell it and go to the Nissan OME version that has a lower profile/flair.

Installed the Nissan bug shield I received for Christmas today. As some of you may know there are six screws that affix the shield to the underside of the hood. well, I lost one of the screws somewhere down in the engine bay. I gave it a go trying to locate it but it's gone. My local Nissan dealer said they don't sell the screw and recommended going to a hardware store to find something similar. That will be my project for tomorrow.

Wondering if anyone can attest to how well the Nissan OEM shield performs?
