Postby patomwazi » Fri Oct 11, 2013 3:46 am

...did some pathfinders come without a receiver...??...when i reach under the bumper the crossmember is there but its just a hole seems like i had to weld in a receiver....so i went to the breakers(scrap yard) and got another crossmember with a hitch receiver...

towing package is standard on north american models.

Also, the hitch offered in Euro and Aussie markets is much different, and you cannot use a WDH with it.

Why don't you take off that bumper finisher and see if you actually have a hitch receiver in your crossmember?

Hmm, was it easy to remove?

I recently bought a towing harness for mine, but the hitch hardware was so badly rusted that the threaded holes were stripped and I wasn't able to mount the harness bracket.

With that said, I may be in the junkyard market for one.

mine was easy to remove when i did the body lift. basically 6 bolts held it on.

That second pictures looks the same as the factory one thats on mine.

Cool, sounds good. I wont be too disappointing if I get lost. 6 bolts is 6 bolts, hopefully they're not annihilated.

From courtesy it's 175$. Found some decent prices for between 50-75$. These are from AZ/FL and one from TN. Not sure what type of rust TN gets but the former 2 seem like legit places.
