Pathfinder handling Carolina Beach, NC

Postby flat6symphony » Tue May 27, 2014 9:39 am

Took my 05 Pathfinder camping out on Carolina Beach this Memorial weekend. Just here to share how well it handled the sand. Not my first time on this beach but definitely to most challenging time. Over a thousand other trucks were out there and the sand was extra soft with ruts around a foot deep. Saw an insane amount of people getting stuck down to the frame.

Drove in 4hi, VDC off, in 2nd gear, and tires aired down to about 20psi.

Nothing crazy just thought that I would share. It was nice cruising by an F250 on 35's buried to its frame.

EDIT: Here is and article about the massive tow truck they were using.

cool. i think most people do not realize that they should air down their tires. ive actually seen people pump up their tires before going out on the sand.
