i think he is trying to have the security, over moving around the cab to draw attention. i was going to suggest the same.
i know "if we all think like a theif" we would look through all the glove boxes, center console, and the upper console by the rear view mirror....hell my old car was broken into and they even stold the damn pennies that i had in the ash tray. i would look under seats and storage bins in the doors. and if i had a little more than 30 seconds " wich is less time than it takes to steal the car itself", i would go through the back part of the cab also.
in my own opinion ...i would remove the drivers seat and weld or bolt a small desk lockbox. large enough for certain amounts of cach and a compact or sub compact handgun and an extra magazine.
wel all know despite our best efforts, "where theres the will, there is a way" and that works on both sides of the spectrum being the car owner or the theif.
