Cuz the CST spindles are for 2WD only. Won't work on the 4WD Pathy's because there is no holes for the axles.

Also, where did you get the ICON Rearshocks 2.5 and spacers? Does the ICON shocks give you more travel in the rear?

Thanks

ICON REAR SHOCKS

Postby MEMOCAMPOS » Wed Oct 22, 2008 10:29 pm

WELL FUNNY U ASK, ICON ACTUALLY GUINEA PIGGED MY PATHY FOR A FUTURE SETUP FOR THE R51. THE MOST UNBELIEVABLE THING ABOUT THE REAR SETUP IS THAT IT NOW CYCLES 10" OF TRAVEL ACCORDING TO DYLAN EVANS PRESIDENT & HEAD ENGINEER @ ICON. I am trying to get demand on this setup so that icon feels the need to hurry up w/ production. Any ?'s call my buddy Jeremy Johnson @ icon.

Well, now I'm excited. Been looking for a longer rear shock for the past 3 years since I had my 2005! Now I have a 2008.

10 inches! I'm actually looking for 13" to match my buddies LR3, but I'll take 10. We do have pretty good axle and CV angles that can take a lot more. Do the ICONS have an internal or external reservoir?
Do you have a beefier rear spring do go along with that?

I think I'm going to give these cats a call.

By the way... welcome to the forum.

icon rear shocks

The shocks have an internal resi. and i dont have better springs, but I plan to get rid of the spacer and go with the ome med. spring like u did. U could only do so much w/ shock valving and not change the spring rate.Thanx for the welcome I am having a blast so far!!!!! :o
