Auto relock function

Postby coom1986 » Mon Jan 26, 2009 2:53 pm

Hello all, ive not posted ny thing for a while now..
Nyways, the 08+ pathfinders have an auto relock function which, like it sounds, automatically locks the doors in case one forgets to lock them.

Ive noticed that it works perfectly everytime it comes from back from the dealer service, probably bcos they resert everything, but then again stops after a few days..
Any body else have the same issue?? and any idea as to what could be causing it?? There doesnt seem to be any TSB out, well nothin that i could find anyway..

IIRC the auto lock only works when you unlock your doors and don't open the door within 45 seconds or so.

the minimum time you can set is 1 minute, so asuming you dont open any doors within 1 minute, the doors should relock automatically..but like i said it doesnt..just wonderin what the cause could be..

Mine works fine. from what I understand the way they work is if you unlock your doors with the keyfob you have 1 minute to open the doors or they relock. if you get out of the truck and forget to lock it the doors will stay unlocked. at least that is the way I understand it to work.

This is great on our 2005. I've programmed the keyfob to control both our cars at the same time, so when I hit lock, both cars lock.

Whats great, is when I hit unlock, both cars unlock, then I drive away and the remaining car (usually the Altima) will lock itself back up automatically, as will the Pathy if I take the Altima instead. Neat feature.

If you have an alarm installed it might be overriding the factory behavior.

Nope no alarm installed, everythings stock..What puzzles me is that its ok everytime it comes from the dealer after a service but doesnt work after a couple of days..
