not trying to bash or anything, but wouldn't be better just to put out the extra 600 and get the 5in calmini lift.

I personally am not interested in 5" of lift.

Isnt the Calmin lift a sub frame lift?

I would avoid the Rancho 9000s. I had those with my first lift. One of them broke.

Bilsteins are better.

if you see the Rancho 9000 shocks specifications for the pathy you will undestand that it is not the best option at all. Those shocks have the same travel (or less) than the OEM shocks. So, if you put a 2" lift you will loss 2" of extension travel. That is not what happens with the OME kit, that lift 1.5" and gives between 1.5" to 2" of extra wheel extension travel.

And the calmini 5" kit is a good option, it is a drop differential kit (for the front and the rear diff, off course). It doesn't give more travel, but it gives A LOT of extra approach and departure angles, and what it is more important in the pathy: it gives a dramatical increment of the breakover angle, wich is the worst feature in our truck as I see.
The best idea is a combination of a calmini drop diff kit and a good suspension kit (with more travel)

I am still waiting for a good option from PRG, but they don't answer my emails

That is for the front, where they use a custom shock ( and the same does the OME kit, increasing travel) but for the rear it seems to be a rancho shock in that kit, and as I see is more important to increas the rear travel than only the front.

I really want to increase the rear travel with a longer shock (longer than the OME), but for that is necessary to change the break lines (with longers) and the upper bump stop if we don't want to destroy the rear shocks at full compression.

Incidentally, I think the Rancho shock broke by pushing it beyond its ability, and past its limit of travel. I have never broke a shock before on any of my 4wheelers.

Look at shock manufacturers that put forward a racing and off road product. Their stuff will cater more toward off-roading (fox, bilstein, donahoe, swayaway, etc.), and will be more heavy duty.

The shock body is important, but equally or more so is the coil manufacturer. Sway a Way uses Eibach, and I have had them in the past, and am now considering that route for the front. As for the rear, the Pathy is a complicated issue. Time will tell.
