Window Switch

Postby GimmieSumMo72 » Tue Nov 10, 2009 11:05 am

Has anyone had problems with their window switches?

My problem is that the passenger side windows can go down when the button is pressed but won't wind up using the driver's switch, but sometimes the windows just won't respond at all.

I just found that when you lock the windows the switch locks the driver's side windows and unlocks the passenger side windows and the driver's switch works good for the passenger's side.

I don't know if that was clear... but I'm kind of upset by it. It's like the 3rd thing that went wrong with the car this year.

do you guys think it will be covered by the warranty? its up in february and the car has 24k on it.

sounds like that switch might have gotten and electrical gremlin in it. Maybe it got wet or fouled up some other way ?

See if you can remove it and inspect and clean the contacts. IF not, check www.car-part.com to find a local junkyard and pick up a new set of switches.

good luck.

Best thing is Dealer for warranty, sounds like the lock button switch is bad.
