2007 pathfinder se blowing dome light fuses. Help

Postby speedemon0222 » Sat Nov 28, 2009 6:36 am

I have a 2007 pathfinder se. The thing keeps blowing the dome light fuse. No it blows it as soon as you put the fuse in. Before it would not do it till you turned on the ignition. And the vdc/slip light comes on at times when you start the car and doesn't go off.

Any aftermarket electrical accessories? (amps, alarms, starters, stereos)?

Also, check your battery cable for the VDC light issue.

No aftermarket items. What do you mean check tthe battery cable for the vdc, do you mean for corrosion? The dome light has been a pain since I have had the thing And now it is just unbearable. The problem has gotten alot worse. Thanks

Can anyone shed a light on this for me? As soon as I put the fuse in the fusepanel now it blows. Before it was just doing it after the ignition was turned on. Sometimes it will blow after a week or a month of operation, now it does it as soon as the new fuse is put in.

Maybe the wires are crossed? That may blow a fuse.

I had a 10" subwoofer that kept blowing fuses whenever I cranked it up. The cause was the wires on the cone kept touching each other, due to lack of silicone to direct the wires away from each other.

check if you have a dead short to ground with a multi-meter.
