rear windshield wiper blade

Postby cruzstyle » Sun Dec 27, 2009 6:27 pm

so i went to the dealer and they said that the rear wiper blade is not listed and they do not offer a replacement. so i measured it out and its a foot long. went to the auto stores in town and no one sells anything smaller then 14inchs. so i was wondering what you guys are doing to replace your rear wiper blades.

Ask for narrow replacement wiper blades. I believe the fronts also use narrow wipers.

You may have to file the plastic so the channel on the rubber fits and wipes properly. You'll have to file it to a point so the actual blade has flexability. You'll know what I mean once you put the new blade in and see how it works out.

Do a search, it has been discussed many times. If i can recall from memory, it's available from trico, and at advance auto parts.

I also got mine from the dealer and it was about 12-15 dollars if i remember correctly. And it was the entire wiper with the blade.

My current rear wiper is a Trico, which almost cost twice as much as the OEM. I just wanted to try it to see if it would be any better. No such luck. Stick to OEM. I'd still love to be able to rig something else to work though.

here's the OEM part # off of my invoice:
28790-EA000 (BLADE ASSY - BAC)
i got mine from Trophy Nissan in Mesquite, Texas last April
it's the whole assy that attaches to the arm
kinda hard for me to believe that they aren't available
good luck & Happy New Year!

The rear wiper blade is available at dealers at a cost of around $15. Trico has a replacement now available under the ExactFit label. The blade # is 12-B

Just picked mine up from Napa the part number that comes up for the pathy is WIP 60012A, but the one that fits is WIP 60012B. Looks just like oem, but works better than my stock one. I paid about 12 bucks.

Just buy a refill (Trico) any size for like $2 or $3.... remove the original refill, cut the trico to the exact lenght and refill it.
Looks and wipes like new for CHEAP :D

"28790-EA000 was $5.85!"

I just called a local dealer, who happens to have four in stock, and he quoted me $14.99. p/n 28790-EA000

Really not bad considering the life I got out of it but nowhere close to $5.85.
