Daytime running lights (DRL)

Postby ralphwiggums » Wed Apr 11, 2007 7:54 pm

my '05 (US version) doesn't have DRL and I might be importing it to Canada. Does anyone know what I would need to install/program/switch to get the daytime running light capability?

light switch module? reprogramming? relay & wiring?

thanks

I would suggest looking into changing the wiring on the fog lights, so it's relay is connected to ignition switched power instead of being on the headlight circuit (so when you set it to on they would always be on with the ignition).

If you look in the service manual under the LT.pdf it shows a couple of relays for the drl's in the fuse box under the Canadian version. I'm sure the wiring isn't all that different from the Canadian models.
