I'm trying to order a set of these myself. As far as I can tell, I need two of these:

Anyone know if the mounting hardware is included? I'd like to order some soon as the roof rack without the crossbars looks odd to me.

Thanks jolli!
I see that you are lokking for the same thing I do. I want to ask if you have the roof-rack too and if you have more data about it.
And how many crossbars can I install? Or how many of them do I need?

Thanks for help!

Vehicle comes with 2 cross bars from factory, I installed an extra.. 3 is all you can get on it, 4 WILL NOT FIT. You will need the listed items, QTY 2 CROSSBOWS 73807-R51002 . QTY 8 7385AA-R51001 BOLTS. QTY 2 RIGHT SIDE STANCHION 73834-R51001. QTY 2 LEFT SIDE STANCHION 73835-R51001. QTY 8 BOLTS 01136-R51001. CHECK the diagram to understand.

I'm pretty sure you would only want two crossbars.

If you look at the diagram in the following link you can mouse over the different parts:
http://www.courtesyparts.com/pathfinder ... _6956.html

I'm as confused as you are, however, because it looks like the crossbars alone isn't enough.

It seems you need something like 8 of these:
http://www.courtesyparts.com/73850aa-bo ... 63203.html

And 8 more of these:
http://www.courtesyparts.com/73850a-bol ... 63202.html

Along with 2 of these:
http://www.courtesyparts.com/73834n-sta ... 63200.html

And 2 more of these:
http://www.courtesyparts.com/73835n-sta ... 63201.html

Plus the crossbars of course x2:

You might just want to email them and ask, because I'm just guessing at the above. Maybe if I had an engineering degree instead of history it would help :? . It gets pretty costly to order all the above, so I may just go check out a local junk yard first.

Anyone who has done this care to share what they had to order?

Thanks!

Jason

Edit: Whoops too slow! Thanks for the answer.

I would say to call them. the number is (800) 527-1909. I bought mine in a kit. I think the part number was RR51-KIT. it was about $280 plus shipping. it came with the 2 bars, all the bolts, and the torx driver to install everything.

Suggestions for lockable roof rack 2008 Pathfinder SE

Postby Rich280 » Tue Mar 01, 2011 11:56 am

Hi,
Am a newbie...just bought my first Pathfinder SE (2008.)

Here is my question;

Am looking to purchase a lockable roof rack for my Pathfinder. Found something on Amazon that seems to fit the bill. I think I can move the rear roof cross bar to accommodate a roof rack.
Is this possible or do I need to spend for additional cross bars? Can anyone suggest a decent roof rack that can be used with out additional cross bars? Any links would be appreciated. OH! Can I purchase from Amazon? Should I stick with the Thule or can I get by with other brands?

Thanks for all suggestions in advance!

Rich
