my dog eats squirrels for breakfast.... :) She leaves the dead rats on my porch. (ew, but at least she doesn't eat em).

This is her howling at a poor cat that decided to live under my porch.

My vicious attack dog. (she will lick you to death, hopefully not right after she kills a squirrel or rat)

Update, the pink wire is now ripped up. The bastard got back in there yesterday during the day. Last night i parked at my next door neighbors and sprinkled cayenne pepper around.

Trust me my dog would destroy the squirrel, but my dog can't climb tree's.

Remebered reading this once....

The use of "moth balls" as a deterrent does work. But again, only temporarily. A determined squirrel will get used to the smell, or simply push the "smelly stuff" out of its way. So if you do try this method, wrap them in a piece of metal screening to form a bag. Then tie the bag to a solid object, make it as difficult as possible for the squirrel to move. You will have to replace the contents every few days for it to be truly effective.

This happened to a Co-worker of mine, except it was rats. The dealer told him that peanut oil is used to lube the wires while they are pulled through the conduit, and rats, mice, squirrels love peanut products. I would get a cage trap and bait the trap, and keep the cage out of sight from neighbors.. when you catch the verman, kill it in the cage.

After splicing, soldering, and rewireing everything is back to normal. What a PITA it was though. Where the wire harness comes through the firewall doesn't offer much space to put hands and tools in there.
