Mine is slow as well. 72-73 on the speedo is 70 according to GPS. I'm not sure if the Odometer is off as well though, they're not always directly in relation. I haven't checked it against a measured marker yet. Our Honda Odyssey the speed reads slow by about 2mph but the odometer reads about 3% HIGH. There was a law suit at one point and Honda extended the warranties by 3%

You can't. I've been all over the place with Nissan on this topic & the answer is a resounding "no."

We've had a few threads like this before, and it's always good to point out that most people are looking at their mpg from an uncorrected view, assuming they are getting better than they really are. I'm not sure about the other sized wheel options out there, but those with 16" wheels take note: the speedo/cpu(s) are calibrated for a 265/75/16 tire.

I'm running the 265/75/16s and over the 33,000 miles I've owned it, I've averaged 16.5mpg overall.

Sounds perfectly normal to me if this is all city driving as you stated before. These are rated 14/20 and you said you have a somewhat heavy foot. City EPA really isn't "city" driving anyway so it's usually easy to do a lot worse than the rating. You're probably also getting winter fuel which will easily cost you 1mpg and is NOT considered when they set the specs. Also, running the HVAC in auto mode spins the A/C a lot which will burn more fuel and is also not considered in the EPA specs.

05 Pathy, getting about 18.8 city, and about 20.7 on the roadtrips. the most I have pushed has been getting 404 miles out of one tank. All Highway miles, and was scared I was going to be walking. Put in a little over 21 gallons that time. I have also noticed a dip in the mileage the closer you get to an oil change being due.
