Visor mirror lights?

Postby Jakobud » Fri May 21, 2010 11:02 am

Just got a 2007 SE and I noticed that the visors don't have lights for the mirror. Is that a standard feature on the LE? And if so, what is the part number(s) for the LE visor with lights for the mirrors? Can it be purchased anywhere?

my 06 has both visor mirrors with lights. it was built 8/06 so it's considered an 07.

I just checked my '06 SE and there are mirror lights on both visors. I think that was the first time they have been operated.

This 06 LE has 'em. 05/06 production date. You can probably buy the visors at www.courtesyparts.com. Great service, and pretty reasonable pricing. It's likely yours is pre-wired for them, but I won't swear to it.

The illuminated visors were standard equipment the Off-Road & LE Models.
On the SE Model the illuminated visors were only available with the optional "SE Comfort Package" which included:

i have em on the 08, but if ur gonna install new ones, dont go for the stock Nissan ones.

they glare into ur eyes at night, and u barely see properly cause its one top light above the mirror.

ask for the altima ones, they come as 2 lights on each side.

Alright, I think I'm headed in the right direction here. Resurrecting an old thread for verification.

Do Altima visors fit for the R51's in size/shape/.color? It seemed that they would, just need to maybe swap out the plastic mounting bits maybe?

I ask as I'd like to put in the Homelink visor from and Alty as I can't find one for a Pathfinder. I miss having that in both Gen4 Maximas I've had. I'm not big on the mirror one and I'd have to kludge the wire run into the headliner. I'd rather have a clean looking Altima Visor w/Homelink if I can. I'll hit a Upullit and look for one, or maybe Ebay if it'll work.

Thanks,

The R51 has the homelink on the the rear view mirror not the visors. The Altima set up may work. Has anyone used them?

As long as the visor will fit, which is why this thread got me thinking it was possible.

All it needs is the 12V power, which is there for the mirror. So if Altima visors fit/match, I'll be set. Just wanted to get some verification before I grab em, if anyone knows for sure. This thread seems to indicate that people have used Altima Visors in Pathfinders.

Sweet! Thanks. I take it by the older post you've mounted the Altima ones? And What generation altima was it? I assume the the last that ended on 06?

Thanks again.
