Postby mar1 » Tue May 25, 2010 7:23 am

Friend of mine blew up his X engine.

would the pathfinder engine be a proper fit?
and any place we can buy a used engine ?

UAE prices are off the charts.

Depending on what blew up... I don't know how different the mounting, accessories, mounting angle, etc are. I would like to say it should be the same, but the only way to know is to find someone who's done it before, or to have the old and new engine side by side to compare.

When I have seen listings for used engines for sale, they list the VQ40DE to fit Pathys and X's.

It should drop right in the frames are the same except the X is shorter in the middle. I met a guy who put the 5.6 V8 in his frontier and it dropped right in onto the V6 mounts no problems. So i wouldnt expect any in his case either.
