Okay, then what's the problem?
it's the last nissan I will ever buy that's for sure.
Brilliant deductive reasoning!

Is there a reason you are still here? Clearly you have no idea that posting negative Pathfinder comments on a Pathfinder forum will get you nowhere.

MPG

Postby 56nomad56 » Wed Jul 14, 2010 10:40 am

Live in south OC CA, lots of hills and short trips. Going very easy on the gas, coasting down hills and to stops, and keeping the mileage calculator on the info screen all the time as motivation, I get 14-16 mpg per tank.

I know going to a 265/70 from a 265/65 will change the calculation some, but it still seems low to me. Our old '06 Durango Hemi got the same with 325 horsepower.

I average 18-19 on my commute. 20-21 on the highway. About what I expected based on the sticker.

Bi-path I get about 17-20 mpg average , lots of hills and stop and go highway . Truck has been reliable , except for AC line .
Great to have a clairvoyant on the board , stick around and tell us what will go wrong in the future so we can fix things before they go wrong .

What year and what size engine does this 4Runner is/have? And, how much does 4Runner weigh?

Pathfinder has a pretty large engine, and is pretty heavy. If you're comparing the heavy Pathy to a lighter vehicle w/ smaller engine, obviously 4runner gets better gas mileage.

Oh, and...did you do any research before buying the Pathfinder? It should say the gas ranges from 14-19, or something similar.

As to failing it apart....it IS possibly that you happen to have picked one that somehow not built too well... It's also possible that you didn't maintaine well during your 60K miles of ownership.
