Finally found a decent scan tool for the Pathfinder

The Roadi RDT69 Scan Tool

http://www.roadico.com/roadi-products.php

and

http://www.roadico.com/manuals/RDT69%20Manual.pdf

I've only done a quick "oh please read this damn car" test for about 10 minutes, but it seems like a pretty decent tool. I picked it up on Amazon a month ago for $112.99, so a great price for a scan tool that will also view and record live engine data!

When I play with it some more, I'll let you all know how it works out.

It looks like a decent reader and it's about the same price and function as the actron readers. What does the live view show you?

I'll try to run it tomorrow and see what it shows... from my first glance, it was quite a bit... I have to clear that stupid code I keep getting due to my VCV stuck open anyway.

Ok, live Data reads (not a continuous read when recording, only every X amount of seconds, I'll have to check amount of time X is)...
  • DTC_CNT
    FUELSYS1
    FUELSYS2
    LOAD_PCT(%)
    ETC(degF)
    SHRTFT1(%)
    LONGFT1(%)
    SHRTFT2(%)
    LONGFT2(%)
    RPM(/min)
    VSS(mph)
    SPRAKADV(deg)
    IAT(degF)
    MAF(lb/min)
    TP(%)
    O2S B1S12--B2S12--O2B1S1(V)
    SHRTFTB1S1(%)
    O2B1S2(V)
    O2B2S1(V)
    SHRTFTB2S1(%)
    OBD
    MIL_DIST(mile)
It give the options of 60 entries for three different data store location.

I'm liking it so far, and I keep finding little nuggets with it as well. I haven't tried the software or connection to the PC yet. I may just RTFM and see what else this tool can do.

I believe it's in there, but I'll check. I think it's on another screen.

Can you tweak anything?

So far, no, only clear codes and view the system for diags.

Yeah, being able to tweak would be awesome, but that would make this tool about $1000 more bucks, hehe.
