Condensation drip from AC lines?

Postby mc01ta » Tue Jul 20, 2010 9:19 pm

I have an 07 Pathfinder 4x4 with 46k miles. Today I noticed a heavy drip from underneath when I was pumping gas. I was running my AC for a bit before stopping at the pump. I opened the hood and saw condensation on the steel/aluminized AC line running in the back firewall. Further inspection I saw a "dump" area designed for the pathfinder where it exits moisture out the bottom from a plastic "funnel" area.

Is this normal to have condensation on the line and have such a heavy drip?

It's normal. You'll notice it more when there is more humidity in the air.
