R51 swaps

Just an oddball question, but has anyone swapped out the base model AC controls for the upgraded digital ones? It seems like it would probably require changing the harness and a PITA, but curious none-the less.

Also is there anyone with the factory Bose subwoofer who would be willing to post up a couple pictures of what the panel in the rear area looks like, and how much space is behind the panel for the sub. Thinking of adding a sub to my Pathy to go with the Nav and other audio goodies already on board, but want everything to be hidden/have that stock look.
